Phat Linux V 3.0 (Igloo) User Manual
Version 1.01 July 1999
Technical Support is available from the Phat Linux team if you have purchased the official CD from www.phatlinux.com. If you have downloaded Phat Linux you can either get your question answered or problem solved at one of the places below, or at the new Phat Linux User Board (Coming Soon).
5.1 Where else can I get help?
There are a multitude of resources dedicated to giving Linux support. If you need to get your question answered immediately, you might want to check out #linux and #linuxhelp on EFnet on IRC. You can access IRC through an IRC client like MIRC.
If you need a more comprehensive answer you might want to try posting to a newsgroup such as:
alt.linux
alt.os.linux
linux.*
uk.comp.os.linux
There are many more. Try searching Deja News with keywords from your predicament to see if that problem has already been encountered and solved.
A great wealth of information can be found at the Linux Documentation Project at Metalab which has a whole bunch of 'How-To's'. Definitely check this out.
SeachLinux is also a great site.
As always, a whole list of helpful resources can be found in the 'support' section of Linux Online.
At this time there are no known problems with Phat Linux V 3.0. However, be sure to check back at our site for fixes and updates.
If you have over 64 megs of ram, you must add 'mem=128M' to the linux.bat file. Replace 128 with the amount of ram you have in your computer.
